It is also a good habit to season your food with  herbs that relieve gas. The most effective are caraway seeds and fennel, which are particularly recommended for cooking legumes and bloating vegetables (as mentioned at the beginning).

These give the food a special taste and can prevent flatulence.

Enzymes in pineapple and papaya

After meat or fish with vegetables or salads as the main course, fresh pineapple or papaya are recommended as dessert, because these tropical fruits contain enzymes that promote the digestion of proteins.

After meals with flour or starch (pasta, pizza, bread, potatoes) you should avoid these fruits, otherwise digestive problems could occur.

In general, only apples and pears are recommended after eating, the remaining fruits make digestion difficult because they ferment and can generate gases. Fruits are healthier in between as a morning and afternoon snack.

In pharmacies and health food stores there are also food supplements with enzymes for better digestion. You can take this for a while, but you shouldn’t overdo it, as you should encourage the stomach to digest independently.
