Clean Kitchen Without Chemicals

When cleaning and cleaning the kitchen, you can confidently rely on the forces of nature

Clean kitchen without chemicals

In the kitchen it is not senseless, but also dangerous, to use aggressive cleaning agents. Chemistry has no place in the kitchen so that residues cannot get into the food.

You don’t need any chemical cleaners in other areas of your household to keep everything hygienically clean.

Clean kitchen for better health

You should especially clean your kitchen after preparing raw fish, poultry or meat to avoid the risk of infection with germs and bacteria, such as salmonella.

You don’t have to use disinfectant sprays, it is also possible to use natural agents to ensure hygienic cleanliness in your kitchen!

You already have most of these resources in your household. If not, you can get them for really little money in the nearest supermarket or drugstore. These remedies are of course not only perfect in the kitchen, but also in the rest of the household!

Clean the worktop

On the worktop, your food comes into direct contact with the surface, which is why it should be cleaned thoroughly before cooking and especially afterwards.

The best way to do this is to use an acid, such as lemon juice or vinegar, and a degreaser, such as conventional washing-up liquid or soda. The acid helps against bacteria and mold, the degreaser removes fat residues. You don’t need any more.

Keep the extractor hood clean

Modern extractor hoods have filters made of metal mesh, which make the laborious and costly replacement of paper filters or foam mats unnecessary.

You should make sure to clean these fine metal grids regularly to maintain the hood’s full power. Less air can be sucked out through a glued metal mesh that is soiled with frying fat.

First and foremost , it is greasy dirt. This can easily be removed with washing soda. Note that washing soda is only effective in hot water and should not be used on aluminum.

So fill the bucket or sink with a soda solution that should be as hot as possible. Then soak the grilles in it while you wipe the rest of the hood with cleaning gloves and a rag.

Soda has an extremely degreasing effect, so avoid skin contact with the washing liquor!

Make stainless steel shine

You don’t need special cleaners to keep stainless steel surfaces shiny and clean.

Therefore, do not use any aggressive cleaning agents such as scouring milk to remove stains or crusts on high-gloss surfaces!

Much gentler is a paste that you mix from sugar or salt with a little lemon juice. Spread this on the crust, let it take effect and remove it with the gentle power of the salt or sugar crystals.

gas stove

Clean encrusted pots

Even the best dishwasher often fails to clean encrusted pots. If the food is burnt in the pot, you don’t have to use muscle power or expensive (and toxic) special cleaners to approach the problem.

Fill the pot with water and add washing soda. Then boil the water. The crusts should loosen with the rising air bubbles without scrubbing!

Clean the oven

The oven should be cleaned regularly to prevent stubborn incrustations. You don’t need an oven cleaner for this , which only solves this task with aggressive chemicals.

You can easily clean the stuck and encrusted grate with a hot solution of washing soda and water. You can wipe the oven with the same hot solution.

Note that washing soda is not suitable for cleaning aluminum, it only cleans itself for enamelled or stainless steel surfaces.

microwave

Microwave clean

Take a close look at your microwave! You will surely find splashes on the outside walls, maybe also leftovers. You can of course remove these with oven cleaner and the chemicals it contains, but it is also much cheaper and gentler with water!

To do this, simply put a vessel filled with water and suitable for the microwave in the microwave and bring the water to a boil.

Let it simmer in the device for at least 5 minutes, because this softens the walls so that you only have to wipe them with a cloth afterwards.

sink

Clean fittings

Nobody needs special limescale cleaners, tap cleaners and bathroom cleaners when there is a bottle of vinegar in the kitchen cupboard!

Stubborn lime crusts can be softened beforehand with a rag soaked in vinegar or a piece of kitchen paper . Simply rub the sink with a cloth or sponge that you’ve put a squirt of vinegar on beforehand.

Hygiene everywhere

In the kitchen, the items contaminated with a particularly high number of germs are usually the refrigerator and kitchen rags or sponges.

Despite all the cleanliness in the kitchen, it is pointless to clean with germ-contaminated rags or sponges, so wash the rags often at at least 60 ° C and replace the sponges regularly!
